It is a water-based medium for the craquelure technique.
1.Apply a coat of acrylic paint to the object. Leave to dry.
2.Apply the Step 1 of crackle varnish. Dry it for 1-1,5 hours without a hairdryer. Step 1 must become transparent completely!
3.Apply the Step 2 of crackle varnish. Leave it to dry for 2-3 hours without a hairdryer. Fine cracks will appear on drying. If the cracks are not appear in 2-3 hours, you can use hairdrier to give a boost.
4.Apply a layer of solvent varnish one day after finishing the cracked surface.
The pattern of cracks depends on the thickness of the Step 1 applied.
Do not leave 1 step to dry overnight! Apply the second step immediately when the first step becomes translucent.
